Memorial Weekend
I just got back from a 3 day trip to Bayfield, Wisconsin. It’s a great place to get away from the city. The town’s population is 611 and the streets are empty by 8 pm. After that time you’ll find most stores closed and simply enjoy the lake. There’s not much more you can do 
Oh, and there’s only one real liquor store…
My cell phone didn’t work (I almost never have problems with T-Mobile) so there goes contact with the world, not to mention e-mail and WWW (Treo 600). I left the notebook at home; after all, I’m going away for the weekend. It seems that these electronics that we have gotten so used to aren’t necessary at all. There’s not too many places you can go in Bayfield but if your motel room is nice you can enjoy the lake view and the silence. It’s very calming.
For all those that work too hard – go away for the weekend. You’ll come back to much happier!
